The organizational and social concerns in Product Life Cycle assessment

This work was the result of a critical review of the book Avaliação do Ciclo de Vida de Produtos - Uma Introdução, by authors Saulo de Oliverira and Claudio Mahler, published by Editora Ciência Moderna (Rio de Janeiro). Interest in the Product Life Cycle theme has been the subject of research and analysis in Academia and Organizations. These interests can be seen from the seminal concerns of Product Cycle Theory, with an emphasis on the discussion between international investments, commercial variations and organizational progress, to current perceptions, such as: use of new technologies and sustainability; the strategic relationship between the product life cycle, environmental performance and leadership; and the management and coordination strategies of product and service supply chains, with varying temporal extensions. The book, divided into seven chapters, brings relevant theoretical and practical contributions to the themes of Sustainability, Product Life Cycle and Circular Economy.
