Abstract

With great satisfaction, we present this special call on skills and learning in organizations. Recognizing the growing importance of these themes in academic research and professional development, the editors of this special call, named in alphabetical order, joined their efforts and skills to direct the focus of this call to this area
crucial. Our drive to face this challenge was motivated, firstly, by the desire to stimulate meaningful debates, disseminate research carried out at several Brazilian universities, thus fostering new research networks, and boosting the progress of knowledge in this vital field for education and human development. Furthermore, our motivation is reinforced by our experience and performance in the area of People Management and Labor Relations at ANPAD, where we play a leading role in the topic that is central to our special calling. It is worth mentioning that our performance in events in the area inspired the cover of this special edition, capturing some significant moments of interaction and debates on the topic.
