Estratégias de Desenvolvimento de Competências Socioemocionais de Estudantes de um Curso de Graduação em Administração

This article aims to identify strategies for the development of socioemotional competencies in students of an undergraduate Business Administration course at a federal public university located in the Northeast of Brazil. The research is quantitative and was conducted through semi-structured interviews with eight students. For data analysis, interpretive comprehensive analysis was used. The results revealed that the development of emotional awareness occurred through strategies focused on self-knowledge, such as reading, therapy, feedback, and the development of reflective thinking. In emotional self-control, the strategies are linked to the ability to manage emotions through meditation, reflection, humor, and the use of crying as a strategy to deal with stressful situations. Socialization and empathy are developed through emotional and social awareness strategies. It can be concluded that the university environment is a space for the development of socio-emotional skills, and emotional education is a relevant dimension for future administrators to operate in the world of work and contribute not only to the management of organizations but also to the transformation of society through well-being and the promotion of strategies for emotion management and self-awareness.
